Final Analysis:Describe: Describe your piece as if you were on the phone. How would you describe it?
My piece, a pinch pot made from hand, is inspired by nature. I made my pinch pot to represent what I love. It is round and surrounding the pot are imprints of pine needles, leaves, and carved flowers. Analyse: Explain your process. How did you make it? (pretend you are talking to someone not in the class) At the start of the making of my pinch pot, I used a decent amount of clay to form the pot. The size of the amount of clay is around the size of someone's hand. I started by forming a ball and then pinching into the clay to make a bowl-type creation. I then waited around a day for the clay to become leatherdry to imprint the leaves and pine. Once I was done adding my final touches, I scraped off the top layer of the pot to make it even. Interpret: How did you show your theme of line, texture, pattern, or shape/form? By gathering leaves and items from outside, I made prints around the pot to represent my theme of patterns. Judge: Do you feel your piece is successful, why or why not? For my piece first pottery piece, I feel as though my piece turned out pretty successful. I tried to make things as smooth as possible and also neat. |
